I have operated three contest making 10,000 QSO's using Writelog, so I'm a
fairly new user. I have only operated CW and SSB and I've only used the
sound card to record with, so there's still a lot for me to explore with
this software. My previous contest sofware was CT. My biggest concern
about using Writelog is loosing the log file due to a hardware problem. I
have had a power failure during a contest and Writelog recovered the
unsasved QSO's very nicely. My recorded audio file did get corrupt when
this happened. What happens if my hard drive fails? In CT there is an
autosave feature that also saves your file to the floppy drive. I have
occasionally copied my file to a floppy during a contest but since it's not
automatic, I'm not sure how reliable of a method that is. Is there a backup
file solution for single computer users?
