[WriteLog] what did I do wrong?

you guys got it right..as homer says...doe!...thanks for help..should have
asked earlier but thougth no one would be reading this during the
contest...again thanks one and all.  This work thing is getting in my way of
planning for contests!!!  Should have checked this before I started.
