Waiting to setup and learn how to use Writelog until just a few hours 
before the contest is a surefire recipe for frustration and failure.

I don't know the answer to your question offhand, but it's certainly a 
problem that can be solved. Just not in the 10 minutes before the biggest 
contest of the year.
