Making the auto-fill the default was definitely a mistake. I plan
to compound the mistake by reversing the default in 10.46--it will
be off by default--so there will be another wave of postings saying
"why did it quit working" when 10.46 comes out, but I think its best 
for fresh installs to have it off.
