[WriteLog] Writelog problems with CW keying

I have the same problem keying both the serial port and LPT1. The keying occasionally sounds like somebody grabs the throat of the keyer and strangles it. I hesitates and the timing screws up. It doesn't seem to matter how few or how many applications are open in Win2000 Pro. It will do it with WL alone. Quite annoying!

Windows XP or 98SE, Kenwood TS-850SAT, serial port key line. The problem has
occurred on 2 different computers. RTTY/FSK works great.

I hope hope some guru out there can steer me to a solution. I have not seen
anyone mention a CW keying problem such as I am experiencing.

Sometimes the sent characters in a buffer stutter or halt momentarily.

My keying scheme is similar to what appears on Don's (AA5AU) page. (npn,
resistor,etc.). I do not have any ferrites in the circuit. I also do not
think I have any RFI problems.

I changed the transistor on the CW keying line.

Please reply directly to me. I have a spamblocker, but will be monitoring
suspect email for legit stuff. Thanks in advance for any help.
