[WriteLog] Help with FT-990 RTTY Interface

I changed the thread name to match where we are with this problem.

Many comments to me ask about the interface type.  It is the type that has a
pair of 2n2222 and one-K resistors.  It is fairly simple, and I plan to test
it for operation on the bench.

It has been suggested by some that the 990 needs Optoisolators, and by
others that the transisitors are the correct interface....  Does anyone have
a 990 that works and knows which devices the interface should have.  I have
been told by several people that the 990 interface works exactly like the
1000.  Again, does anyone know for sure, and if so, which type of interface
works?
