[WriteLog] Laptop, Windows XP SP2, USB

Got a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 8600

Installed Writelog 10.44B Full

Installed Belkin FSU103 USB to Serial converter (10
bucks + shipping, anytime, on EBay store).

Plugged my homemade Kenwood interface (
http://www.qth.com/ka9fox/ts850_mods.txt ) into the
Belkin.   Radio control, cw keying, F Keys, all work
right off the bat.

Installed Writelog upgrade 10.50D

Everything still works.

So despite all of the recently reported problems, it is
possible to get a laptop, XP SP2, USB ports, and
Writelog all working with minimal effort.

Now, gotta get three more Belkins, a four port USB hub,
and the laptop should be good to go for so2r on all
modes, including rtty!
