Hi Bob,

I am sure there are several ways you can do this with external interfaces.  I have used 2.  One is the WriteLog W5XD Keyer.  The second and the one I am using now is the microHam Keyer.  Both work extremely well.

BTW I never experienced the keying problem with 1000mp seriies rigs and the W5XD keyer in the current tread titled, "[WriteLog] W5XD keyer question--PTT outputs not saturating".
