[WriteLog] Possible Problem with 10.56C

Stevem

Exactly. Slow tuning seems to help. Tune quickly and the rig disappears. I have found that going into port setup, then out again will restore the freq. Looks like a patch is needed.

Having the same problem here with the new version here. Having to keep an eye on it during the TARA contest. Every time it looses rig have to save configuration to get it back. Like the com port is going on and off.

Dick,

It is definately something to do with the new v10.56C. As a test, I
reverted to v10.55D, and the problem disappeared.

BTW, I have noticed, in the past, that when quickly tuning the radio up or
down, the "No Rig" notice would appear very briefly, but then the correct
frequency would always come up. Under 10.56C, it seems that once the "No
Rig" appears, it stays.

Maybe someone on the group will have comments or a fix, or maybe a patch is
needed.

Well, it was just a WAG (Wild A** Guess), Jim. Sometimes some
suggestions work. I have WL ver. 10.54C. If I see a major change in
some later version I'll buy an upgrade subscription. Hope you get it
resolved.

Dick,

I checked out your suggestion. However, FSK is already selected, so it
must be something else. I never saw this problem on previous editions
of Writelog.
