[WriteLog] Curiuos situation on rig control

Getting setup for the ARRL DX CW contest and am having troubles.  (Am
using an FT-1000MP on COM1 of an 3000 MHz Athlon XP with Win XP Pro.)
When Writelog starts it says No Rig!.  I can open setup --> ports and
when when I close it, the rig is there, but after a few seconds returns
to No Rig!  I have been recently been having problems of the rig timing
out under DX4WIN also and may be another indication of the problem.
Wanted to try a hard reset of the radio, but couldn't find it in the
manual.  I am used to something like a 3-finger salute or some such to
reset a rig.  Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sure don't want it doing this during the contest.
