Scott,

I have not tried one but the Turtle Beach "Audio Advantage Roadie"
www.turtlebeach.com/site/products/audioadv/roadie/producthome.asp
appears to have the right stuff ($80 - new). It is also listed
at TigerDirect ($60) and Amazon ($57).

You can also sometimes find the Creative SoundBlaster MP3+ ($15 -
Refurbished) and/or the Audigy 2NX External ($55 - Refurbished) at
the Creative Labs "Factory Store" on eBay:
http://stores.ebay.com/Creative-Labs-Factory-Store

The "low price option" is the Byterunner UA-580 ($29) from
http://www.byterunner.com/byterunner/product_name=UA580

I have not personally tested any of the cards. The manuals for the
first three indicate they have independent microphone and stereo line
inputs. I cannot find a manual on-line for the fourth but the specs
on the web site show separate mic and line jacks.

73,
