I use VE7CC's spotting program to feed spots to my logging programs:

http://www.bcdxc.org/ve7cc/

Configure WL to connect to a "local" connection on your computer:

127.0.0.1    port 7300

Then you can connect to virtually any telnet spotting cluster, and 
feed it to WL.  VE7CC's program can be tailored very easily.
