[WriteLog] Win XP

Hola Phil, et al,

Looks like I have been dreading this change all this time for nothing. I
have several options - (some even within the capabilities of even my
intellect!)

Apparently, I can use the serial port to send CW (I will need a new cable
for that) and I can add an additional serial port for my radio using one of
those USB to serial port adapters. I'll need a new interface cable.

A second option that looks pretty nice is the Direct IO software that once
installed will allow me to do what I have already been doing. I assume that
I can use the same cable that I had been using.

Both of these look like real nice solutions. The interface cable that I use
on my current set up is real nice because it allows me to connect my old
keyer as well as my computer to the LPT port. (I occasionally need to send
something and the keyboard isn't a very good option for me and the FT1000MP
doesn't provide for using the internal keyer and external keyer at the same
time.

Thanks a bunch!

Bill, W5VX
