Not true:

Exchange: Operator name and station location (state, province or country)
for North American stations; operator name only for non-North American
stations. If the name sent is changed during the contest, as sometimes
happens with multi-operator stations, the name used for each QSO must be
clearly identified in the log.

Note from above...  If the name sent is changed during the contest (it
will...)

I'm not sure I understand your question.  But, it sounds like you are
changing the operator name that is sent during the contest. 

In multi-operator category, you use only one name, no matter how many
operators you have.
