Changing the name during a contest is guaranteed to waste time. When you 
have worked BEN on 15 and 20 meters, then work KEN on 80 meters through the 
static, it's almost certain this will cause a repeat request OR the 
receiving operator will believe static changed the K to and L and simply log 
BEN on 80 meters too.

But it's your choice, you can stick with one name or change it on the fly. 
Experience says to use one name during the contest.
