[WriteLog] no cw or mode readout

I am running Vista.  Rig is Omni VII. Writelog 10.68F.  Microham Device Router Version 7.1.5 11250.
Problem is this.  I can read the freq. and mode change on the router screen but only the freq. in Writelog.  It will only give me dits when keyed.  I have it set for winkey .  Question is there a CI-V setting needed in microham in order to forward the mode?  At an end. Thanks in advance. Rog KI0F
