[WriteLog] Packet Cluster & Bandmap Question

After I sent my last e-mail to you, Ron, I did what you suggest and that
seems to have solved the problem. I did check single band spots so that
only spots on the band I am on will show up. Problem solved.

Again, thanks.

Dick,

At the top of the packet window click on Edit. Look at the dropdown menu.
Single Operator should not be checked. If Single operator is checked, then
the bandmap and spots windows will not be populated. Try unchecking this
entry to see if it fixes your problem.

Thanks, Ron. I have been using the K8SMC cluster (I think it's the CC
software). I'll check it out. Can you offer a hint as to where I would
find if I have Single Op checked? Would it be in the cluster software or in

Writelog?

Dick,

The incoming spots should automatically go to the bandmap window. On the
packet window make sure you don't have it set to single op. (Edit single
operator should not be checked)

If you double-click on a bandmap entry, it should QSY the radio and populate
the entry window.

Subject: [WriteLog] Packet Cluster & Bandmap Question

Last weekend I asked a question about using the Packet Window and the
Incoming Packet only Window (I don't see any difference in the 2).

My question was: Is there a way that incoming "spots" can be sent to the
Bandmap window and when the call is clicked on in the bandmap that the info
would go to the Data Entry Window and the station worked as normal.

In November 2006 I went to Costa Rica for the CQWW CW and I think that N1MM
was used (but WL could have been the program used. I don't recall at
present). But, as spots were listed in the cluster window, they went into
the Bandmap, and we were able to click on the call and work the station.

Is this possible with WL? I can bring up the Cluster Window, but all I see
are the spots and nothing goes to the bandmap window.

Can somebody tell me what I may be doing wrong or if it's just not possible
with WL?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dick
