[WriteLog] 1000MP help

I am still looking for assistance in connecting my 1000MP to my laptop running Windows 7 and WriteLog 10.83. Port 15 is the port it says it is connected to. I went into Setup and put that radio into Port 15. But the WriteLog window shows No Rig. Does the radio need to be programed as well? Is there a link to a setup checklist? This is my third request for help!!
