[WriteLog] recording on thre fly

As per the ICOM PRO iii manual we could do that type of recording, for example to make new SSB macro messages.
I tried it with the mobile microphone supplied with the ICOM IC-7600  or with my Heil  but I could'nt do it - no success.

Can someone who made it with ICOM IC-7600 explain me the procedure ?
