[WriteLog] WL/MK2 TX hang-up using MTTY

Eric, I'm still not sure if you've fully checked what Joe and I are
referencing. Please go to the Setup/Ports window and in the upper right
corner you will see a column heading 'Comm PTT'. Each of those drop-down
menu choices should be 'NO' for your radio(s).
You may have set this choice to 'NO', but perhaps it erroneously gets
changed when WriteLog is exited and reloaded. So you need to check what the
setting is when you experience the PTT non-release problem. We've found one
condition where the setting does not persist through a WriteLog exit/reload.

That's how I've always set it (CW PTT = NO)
Changing that parameter makes no difference. It just keeps transmitting....
Could I have set something incorrectly in the MK2 router?

Make sure Writelog is *not* using "COM PTT" (PTT commands on the serial
port) as several rigs appear to have a subtle race condition between PTT
via CAT commands and hardware PTT.
My suspicion is that the rigs in question mask changes on the PTT input
while processing CAT PTT commands but ignore a CAT PTT off if the PTT
input is asserted ... then when unmasking the PTT input the transition
has been missed. I've never seen the issue (or heard reports of it)
in systems where COM PTT (or equivalent software PTT) has been disabled.
