[WriteLog] ARRL CW Module

This is a good request. I can see and I made this mistake more than once.

I suspect the challenge is that for DX contact, there is no exchange other than RST. So WL would have to look at the call to know if an empty exchange field was valid or not.

Subject: [WriteLog] ARRL CW Module

Hello Wayne et al,

Ok, I have a hopefully simple dilemma using WriteLog that I truly hope can be corrected.

First, I'm a blind ham and have been active for 52 years. I have used WL for a very long time. I have attempted to use N1MM but it doesn't identify "DUPES" in a manner that I can detect using a screen reader. So WL is my software of choice.

Now the problem. With at least the ARRL 160 CW contest module, it is possible to type in a callsign, hit the spacebar which moves you to the SEC field, and if you accidentally use the right arrow key, you can fill in the SEC hit enter and WL accepts the contact. The big problem is if you don't put the first letter of say EPA in the correct spot, WL will take it but not record it.

You can imagine my dismay after the contest when I realized that my score was reduced from 1102 Q's to 1084 because I didn't have all of those sections place in the right position in the SEC field.

Would it be that difficult for WL to let us know that the sec wasn't recorded? It sure happens in the CQWW module. If you fail to put in a Zone or forget to tap the spacebar to move to the Zone field, you won't be able to input the info. I hope this is a simple fix that will be a tremendous help to me, any other blind OPS and probably the general contesting community.

TNX for indulging my issue. 73, Bob K3UL
