[WriteLog] TS-890 dig mode?

It's the software. Same issue here. The WL Development team is aware of it
as I informed them last night.

To fix the ADIF file, open it in Notepad then go to the Edit menu and
Replace. In the Find what: box put <MODE:3>DIG and in the Replace with: box
put <MODE:4>RTTY then click "Replace All". Save your file and you are
finished.

You can now import your ADIF into your logging program.

If you use DXKeeper and you already imported the file and all your QSOs show
Mode Dig then you can filter the log to show only the contest QSOs. I do
this by pressing Adv on the main screen. In the DXKeeper Advanced Sorts,
Filters & Modifiers screen, in the UTC Filter and put the after date as
7/18/2020 17:59:59 and enable it by ticking to the left of the after box. I
left the "and before" date empty. Then click the Filter button to the right
of the "and before" box. Look at the log display to make sure it only
displays NAQP contest QSOs. At the bottom of the window in the Modify QSOs
in Log Page Display section I use the Item name pull-down menu to select
"Mode" in the Item new value pull-down menu select "RTTY". Then click the
"Mod" button. When asked if you want to set the Mode to RTTY for all records
in the Log Page Display, click Yes and your done.

Subject: [WriteLog] TS-890 dig mode?

As a blind guy, I'm not much of a RTTY contester, but did get 75 in the
log yesterday.

I've been using Writelog for about 20 years on various Kenwood radios.
Last week I installed the latest version and started using the new
TS-890 rig driver. Prior to this I had used one of the other Kenwood
rig choices for the 890.

I operate in FSK mode. While I have no need for a monitor, I was able
to tell by my screen reading software that writelog was showing the
correct frequency followed by "dig". Like: 14090 khz dig. Over the
years with a different Kenwood rig selected writelog would show
something like: 14090 khz FSK.

While I had noticed this change to "dig" I really didn't give it a
thought, until I tried to upload to Log Book of the World. It told me
that "dig" is an invalid mode.

I compared my adif file to the adif file from the last NAQP RTTY and
saw that yesterday's file shows mode for each contact as "dig", while in
last winter's contest mode was RTTY.

Nothing has changed at the station other than installing the latest
version and change rig driver to TS-890S.

Glitch in the software? Or more likely something I need to change or
fix myself?

73, Tnx for the QSO's, Steve KW3A
