for CQ WW CW weekend VE7CC
issued command
SET/NOFT8
that kills all junk for CW weekend!
VE7CC User software for front end is IDEAL
it links to writelog via telnet - in VE7CC up at top right - configuration then ports
The skimmer spots are also settable under the settings tabs (to left of "DX" tab)
allowing skimmer, own skimmer and sk Dupe ...
Under country tell VE7CC to reject spots for "K" 48 states (they are zero counters)
and your personal taste but also set to only accept spots from "K" 48 states...

I was going to suggest the same thing. Start here:
http://www.bcdxc.org/ve7cc/
I had a number of temporary disconnects over the weekend, but this program always reconnected and shows the missed DX spots. I think the retry interval is one minute. I also have connections to three different nodes in case one of them goes down. In fact, I stopped receiving RBN spots from VE7CC very early in the contest, so I typed "set/skimmer" in my W0MU connection and they flowed for the rest of the contest.
