Hi all,
I will be opperating in the contest as G3PJV/P from my portable =
QTH, my antenna setup is a cushcraft R7000 at 12ft and a 3 ele beam at =
12ft, my rig is my old trusty icom ic720a and 100w. When testing the =
station up on sunday i decided to have the R7000 as my main antenna as =
it worked me straight in to VK with a 53 report. I worked two local =
european stations and got 59+35db solid copys. I have found my R7000 =
receives signals louder than my beam as well so this i an other reason i =
chose my R7 as a main antenna. All is planned for this weekend so =
nothing can go wrong (or can it?). I plan to be active thursday and =
friday nights before the contest on 10m 15m and 20m.
I have never worked a H,F contest before and do not know have =
many log sheets to print for QSO's does any body know how many contacts =
or how much activity there is likley to be in the contest.
Thanks
Paul
G3PJV/P=20
