Comments: Again a father and son effort from portable QTH (station has to be
set-up and dismantled for each contest), the contest was going great up
until
Sunday morning, but at 0600z we had to turn the A4S (on a trailer tower)
side
on to the wind and eventually wind it down when the wind subsided enough to
make it safe to do so. We had to continue by using the Carolina Windom Until
about 1600z when we could turn the beam again. The best runs where on 10m,
but also the conditions on 80m where very good stateside. Difficult being
competitive in M/S without a mult station also the packet cluster was very
unreliable via the packet network. Maybe now they have M/2 then they can
make M/S truly single transmitter to help the smaller teams.
