Someone recently said when talked about FN booth we should make something
that people when leaving FN will not forget so easly. Maybe our
concentration on position of young hams in general (which is not so great in
this hobby?) as well as desperate need to introduce young hams into the
hobby should be the way we do it - we should show older gang importance of
young people if they want to see their hobby still going on in about 20-30
years. Maybe a big sign "You dont have to be old to be a radioamateur" could
bring some attention. By June we could make some research about general
facts in hamradio (age structure, views on hamradio, part of the hamradio
people are participating in (contest, ARDF, packet, constructing. ....),
investing into hamradio, investing into new people). If someone is villing
to produce such a brocure - with such information and some ideas how to
improve our hobby (at least from young people point of view) - it could be
an interesting reading - can join my idea, I'm willing to put an effort into
this.
This is just additional idea next to Danny's great ideas how to make booth
active and alive.
I'll support WWYC as usuall in any ways that I can, tho I will not be able
to come to FN :-(
I started to work out really serious on WWYC Meeting in Croatia this summer
so all of you that have been considering comming here get ready to read all
the infos I'm going to put out probably somewhere during the March.
Spring and summer could be a big step forward for WWYC but could also be a
big dissapointement, it all depends on you guys and girls! There are big
expectations for the Club and I hope we can handle them.
