Hello WWYC'ers,
It was great ARRL weekend this year :)
It's a pitty I could not operate SOAB from
my QTH.
Saturday evening we had birthday party away
from home. On Friday I went to Juodkrante
( just 1km away from Baltic sea) together with wife
and daughter.
It was ARRL weekend so i decided to take notebook,
FT897 and ACOM 2000A with me.
After last year operation I leave some antennas
here.
Saturday morning my cousin helps me to assemble
3 ele YAGI and put up on 12m mast.
SWR was good enough to operate.
At 11z I heard 9A1P calling CQ for contest.
I started contest at 12z. First hour was slow
with 80 QSO's.
13-14z made 158 QSO's.
Band closed early on Saturday same on Sunday.
Logged last QSO at 1734z and switch off equipment.
Total 660 QSO's first day.
Good enough for small portable position :)
Now time for Saturday party.
Woke up at 6z Sunday morning. After breakfest
we went for fishing. Came back at 11z.
Second day contesting starts at 12z as first day.
But rates was much lower and it was very hard to
find clear freq for CQ.
Anyway on Sunday I made ~340 QSO's and at
1630z I was forsed by family to switch off
and dismantle antenna.
Total 1009 QSO's and 56 mults.
At 17z we were ready to go back home.
Thanks everybody for QSO's.
See you in WPX SSB.
Hope to operate from home :)
73! Andy LY2TA
