zoli, you need several things for a meeting:

- local hams who organize the meeting (and know the region)
- good reachability by public transport & highway
- support by local hams (who are not member of WWYC but willing to help)
- some places of interest for excursion
- etc ..

we have that in bavaria, but we do not have that all in Y2 land. chris and
i, we both live and work in munich, so it`s a lot easier for us to
organize that meeting around there. we can have local support by the very
active hams there and from bavarian contest club.

we have dj1yfk and dj9ao in Y2 land, but we miss local support, good
reachability, places of interest, infrastructure ;-)

believe me, a cheap place to stay is not *everything*.

by the way: we were asked by several wwyc members to place the meeting
in/around munich!
