Working on the PhD in EE at University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign.  I'm studying disturbances of the equatorial and
mid-latitude ionosphere that degrade the GPS (and Galileo, and, um,
GLONASS) and other satellite services.  Operate occaisionally from
NO9Z (last was M/S as W9SZ in ARRL CW) or puny sigs in NCCC Sprints
from home.  I have an ever-growing pile of aluminum awaiting the day
when I can install it.
