[Yaesu] FT1000MP

Same here. All of the bug reports worry me as I'm afraid I just missed
something! I have tried quite a number of things, but certainly not everything.

I have NOT tried the builtin keyer and likely never will. I use a Super CMOS III
from Idiom Press for casual operation and TRLog for contests. Certainly this
could be enhanced by Yaesu at some point...

I have NOT noted the 15/17m SWR problem mentioned earlier.

My DVS-2 works fine with the FT-1000mp (no overmodulation).

I get a solid 100w out even with moderate SWR and drive my amplifier fine.

I have received no complaints nor found myself any spurious transmissions
during 160m operation.

For those who keep track of such things, my serial number is: 5L040079
The radio was purchased from HRO in Salem, NH 7/8/96 on an exchange
for an IC-775/DSP returned by the original owner who sold it to me for unknown
"financial" reasons...

If anyone has a comprehensive list of "features" I would appreciate a copy
and will try all items as practical as a "check list." Also, would those with
other problems mind posting along with serial numbers?

On receive and on 160m in the recent contest, I noted that a local strong
signal (S9+40-60db) caused me some difficulty. Also, strong AM BC super
stations here cause some difficulty on 160m with wideband antennas and
no bandpass filtering inline. Seems reception could be better, but have not
had a chance yet to compare 160m performance with my FT-990. Maybe
I'll get a chance during Stew Perry this weekend.
