[Yaesu] FT1000D updates?

I have seen and heard several people talk about sending their FT1000s back to
Yaesu for various reasons and having "all the latest upgrades" done at the
same time.  My unit is still "virgin" (vintage '93).  Does anyone have info
on exactly what these "upgrades" are?
