[Yaesu] Yaesu FT1000MP TRANSVERTER OUTPUT

I do not appear to get any significant power from the transverter rf
ouput socket of my  Yaesu FT1000MP. The manual says it should be -6dbm; 
it appears to be more like -20dbm not enough for my 432MHz transverter. 
Any ideas how to resolve?
