Subject: [Yaesu] 8 pin DIN for FT-1000/990 BAND DATA

I need a source for the 8 pin DIN plug for the BAND DATA jack for the
FT-1000 and FT-990. The "standard" 8 pin DIN obtainable at Radio Shack
and elsewhere does not fit the BAND DATA jack - although the "standard"
plug will fit the 990's REMOTE jack. The 990 has two 8 pin DINs - one
for the REMOTE and the other for BAND DATA - and they are different.
Does anyone have experience with driving band decoding devices (bandpass
filters, antenna relays, etc.) with the BAND DATA output from the 1000
and/or 990? I'm homebrewing a CD4028B band decoder and would like to
gain from your experiences.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks & 73 James / k1sd
