[Yaesu] XF-C Filter

My Ft-1000 Manual says "xcept for the XF-C filter, which replaces
the standard ceramic filter, a diode must be cut away at the new
filter location, before installing the filter". 


I would say that you replace the main (Standard SSB filter) with XF-C.
I also have a diagram of the 3rd if filters and for XF-C it says
"SSB standard filter or SSB wide filter."
