My FT-920 has vox and has a CW filter.  From Yaesu you can not add a ssb
filter...but Inrad has a board that will allow a ssb filter and they are
working on another board to allow 2 different ssb filters with switching
ability.

While not in the same class (or price!) as the FT 1000 line...I have
been very happy with my 920 for contesting in the year I have had it.
The receiver performance is just as good as any other radio I have
operated.
