[Yaesu] FT-747/SB-1400 drift

The cold start 500 hz drift is within rated specs for that rig. An optional and more stable TCXO master reference oscillator would probably help allot. I think the FT-747GX uses the TCXO-4, same as the FT-840.

  I have a Heath SB-1400 (repackaged FT-747) that drifts around 500 cycles before settling down. Any suggestions. Once it settles down, it performs pretty good, and I have left it powered up 24/7 as a means of combating the problem, but I got the radio to use mobile, so I need to get it stable before putting it in my car. Any suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated.
