I dont know but I am curious did yours fail? Keying an Amp?

I just made an amp interface wire and decided to use an external relay.  The
schmatic shows it as a SPDT with a 12V coil.  It is most likely a pcmount or
dip relay but I don't know.  I am using the transistor switch in the radio
to drive an external small pc mount relay that draws about 30ma and switches
in 2-6ms.  I did this so that when the relay fails I wont have to open the
radio.  Now if something fails it will be the transistor though!
