[Yaesu] Mic rear input jack

[Hart]

I have a FT 2000 rig and I want to connect a mic/eq system on the back 
of the rig using a RCA jack plug. My question is does the mic gain on 
the front of the radio have anything to do with the input of the mic on 
the back of the radio?
