Started on 40. Skip was very, very long. Only worked the west coast. Too bad
because the SteppIR worked! Went to 80 after 5 minutes. The vertical was OK
now. The wind had blown it into the rolls of chicken wire. I have to keep it
loose because the trees move so much. Nice rate, but most signals on the coasts
were not strong. Ran out of stations at 0340Z so went to 160 and picked up
stations as they came on. Not much luck calling CQ. The band change was worth
it, but not many mults and the rate was not too good.
