With 10pf of reverse capacity, that's 260Mohms of reactance at 60Hz. But at
1 kV, that's 3.8 microamps of ac. That's of the same order of magnitude,
perhaps an order higher, than the leakage current. So you can't ignore it.
Same with applying DC.
Never had these problems with 866's!! Actually, I guess we'd need 872's for
the currents we're talking about, but they look nice, and you don't need an
indicator light to tell you that they're on.
