Hej!
For long tube life you have better read EIMACs application note how to treat
your tubes, burn-in, how filament voltage affects life etc. By the way:
would it not be wonderful if the EIMAC people could bring all their old/new
application notes into a little booklet? How about it W6SAI? Or even
better:if someone could scan in on a CD all the long forgotten articles on
linear amplifiers from wonderful HAM RADIO, CQ, RADIO HANDBOOK, QST and all
transmitting tube data sheets from EIMAC and RCA. The wonderful ARRL SINGLE
SIDEBAND HANDBOOKs not to be forgotten. You can find there the answers on
many of the questions asked on this reflector.

HAM RADIO had through the years not only outstanding articles on linears,
but so much more on other subjects. So, now when you can get all the old QST
magazines on CD roms, why not do the same with HAM RADIO no longer avaiable
to newer hams?

Hej daa de Hans SM5KI.
