? Somewhat. Air-system sockets require high-pressure air to work
acceptably due to their inherently restrictive air-flow. . Heath's
split-chassis / transverse-fan design results in much lower glass
temperature -- and lower noise. There is little to restrict air-flow --
provided that nothing is placed against the left side - and the fan
bearings get oiled bi-yearly. . .

? multi-stage (high-pressure) axial fans make plenty of noise. This is
what jet airplane engines use to compress air.
? Editorial opinion -- Eimac's ''Air system socket'' is not good
engineering. For starters, the fins on the anode-cooler are oriented the
wrong way.
