In the MLA-2500, the 1/4 wave anode resonance is below the grid
resonance. However, the 3/4 wave anode resonance is above the grid
resonance. This was the same amplifier that produced the two tubes which
Eimac said died from gold-sputtering.

Murphy was right about things being more complicated than they look.
