An AB1 grid terminating resistor is basically a broadband element.  
However, at higher frequencies, a better input match is afforded by 
tuning out grid reactance with a variable L.   This facilitates Bruene 
neutralization.   If a variable L is also used in the tank, the amplifier 
is general coverage.
