I have a Henry 750-watt solid-state amp which likes about 65-100 watts drive for
full output. I also have a smaller Henry 100 watt solid state amp which I have,
from time to time, used to boost the output from my Elecraft K2 (max. 15w out)
to drive the bigger amp on CW.

My question is: since there is no selectivity between the driver and the final,
is this a bad idea? If so, why?

For anyone who's interested, the K2 by itself drives the bigger amp to 150-250
watts output (depending on the band). Mostly I've been operating in this mode.
