That is simply not true, and I doubt Bird would claim that either.
Whether there is a more accurate "field" type instrument I do not know,
but there are more accurate lab instruments around, but these are not
convenient to use for the sort of thing a Bird gets used for.
I have nothing against the Birds. They do a good job, but they are not
as accurate as what Bird claim.
