...just be aware that germanium is very sensitive to thermal shock during
soldering and unsoldering. They can change characteristics in pernicious
ways due to heating; and after heing them 4 times.....

With a slight reduction in readings. Using a Schottky diode would be a
better approach. I would replace both diodes in the SWR bridge with like
