I found on my SB-200, sometimes the switch needs cleaning.  Give it a shot 
of cleaner and see if that helps.  73

...just be aware that germanium is very sensitive to thermal shock during
soldering and unsoldering. They can change characteristics in pernicious
ways due to heating; and after heing them 4 times.....
