Thanks for the quick answers.  Since the slug is somewhat expensive and it's 
high power, I wanted to just get a sanity check before I gave it a try.  All I 
need to see is if the output is even reasonable for now.  I can get another 
slug to "cal" against.

What will happen if you use the wrong frequency range slug in a bird 43 meter?  
 Specifically, I have a legal limit 2m Amplifier and I have a 2500D slug 
(200-500 MHz @ 2.5KW).  If I use this slug to measure 144 MHz, will it damage 
the slug or meter?  Will the readings be anywhere close to accurate?
