My 425 blew both line fuses with a huge audible bang!!!! I put in new fuses
and again same loud bang, but also a part in the power supply, forgot which,
but maybe resistor, caught fire and created a three inch flame inside... Panic
moving of the ps away from other things. Replaced the burned part and worked
again. Later, I had the p.s. internal fuse to blow so often, I just moved it
and mounted it on the front of the p.s. box in a panel mount fuse holder. I had
other blown fuses and found the three disk ceramic caps down in the amp box
near the output coax socket, but inside the case, of course. They kept burning
out and blowing the single smaller fuse. Finally I enclosed the direct
replacement caps with sleeving/shrink tubing, and the trouble stopped and has
worked well since. A great amp.
